We are not our past. Our past does not equal our future!
Yes, our past can equal our future when we did not learn from our past, but our past is where we learn, where we compare with our present.
Why does our past not equal our future?
We are self learning beings!
Our past is there to tell us what we did wrong, so that we can test other ways of doing it, it is not a death sentence. We have heard of the saying, “the colonel knock on 1,000 doors, each door before says no to the colonel”, but the 999th door says YES! The rest is history.
We need to shift our mindset from “oh I failed, I cannot” to “Oh, that’s one NO less to my YES”.
- Focus on your outcome;
- Past does not equal to future;
- Focus and keep going, you are getting closer to the yes future;
Do not give up! In the past, I tell my students, “How else can you do this differently”?
You want to focus on the possibilities not the mistakes of the past, because your past are littered with mistakes that allows you to move towards the success!
