What is the purpose of parenting?
- Is it for companionship in your elder years?
- Is it for their independence?
Both ways of raising children are very different, like the opposite of a pencil.
If you are raising children for companionship, you will be teaching them how to be dependent, so that they will not leave the nest. However, if you are raising children for their independence, you will be teaching them how to live their own lives of independence. When they are independent, you have the freedom to begin your life, doing what you love to do most, and be there for them when they need assistance.
