We work for money so that we have the freedom to do what we want in life.
When I ask, “What do you want to be doing if money is not an issue”?
- I want to not work.
- I want to see the world;
- I want to help people;
- I want to spend time with family.
- I want to spend time with friends.
It seems we are blaming money for not doing what we want in the world.
Why not spend time DOING what we want? The real question is, “Do you know what you want to be doing”?
A friend asked me before, “I want to retire and do this every day, walking on the beach, and spend time with my family”.
I ask him, “Can you see yourself doing this, walking on the beach and spending time with family for the rest of your life”?
“YES, I can do this for the rest of my life”!
He sold his business, and then, half a year later, he was looking for things to do.
You see, we often THINK we know what we want, until we have done it to know WHAT WE REALLY want.
We live in a ‘deductive living‘; we think we know, but actually we don’t.
TIME has a way of showing us what we DO NOT want.
If you can remove the element of time, we can better find out deductively what we do not want and be able to FIND OUT what we really want.
Many think money will give them the freedom to live a life that they love to but when they get there, they do not know what they really want to do.
Why don’t we spend time alone and reflect on life? What do we REALLY WANT to be doing for the rest of our lives?
Do not use MONEY as your excuse for not finding out what we really want to be doing.
