Why do we fail and not succeed?
Simple answer is, LACK OF PATIENCE, no time consideration.
If you have kids, you will understand. When you drive the kids when they are young to have dinner or holiday. You get them into the car, you tell them where they are going, and they are going to love it, the food, and the place! They get excited and sit there, then they ask, “Are we there yet”? NO, not yet, you know, as an adult, it TAKES TIME to drive, to work to get there. Kids will again ask, many times along the way, “are we there yet”? NO, then they get angry and start to cry because they are not there yet. Complaining, i did not want to go anyway, why did you bring us, we could have stayed home. The spouse will start to DISTRACT them by telling them stories while the parent keep driving to keep the noisy, scream and question “are we there yet” from being asked again.
Kids have no concept of time; they EXPECT things now. If not, they will make noise, be emotional, complain, blame, and demand the outcome NOW!
Adults know that things, outcomes take TIME. They work hard, they problem solve, they are honestly working towards the outcome. They know how to FOCUS on the working towards the outcome, they know how to FILTER out the distractions and RE-FOCUS on problem solving towards the outcome, till they get to ACHIEVE the outcome. They forgive the distracting kids for making noise and being emotional because they love them.
if you want to achieve, have an ADULT mindset.
If you want to fail, have a KID mindset.
