Momentum is created through consistent, daily discipline in doing the same process, over and over again. It takes a lot of focus and enery to start something but when you achieved he daily discipline, you have the momentum to help push you towards the outcome.
However, distractions can slow down the momentum from doing what you are meant to be doing. The more distractions you experience, the slower your momentum will become till it slows down entirely and comes to a full stop.
It is like pushing a car. You begin pushing the car, you need time and energy to push it to a point where it starts to move and you keep pushing the car, the momentum will move the car faster and the less energy you will using to keep the car moving towards your destination, because the car ran out of petrol.
However, when you have someone coming in to help you push, you somehow need to teach them how to push, you are ‘not’ pushing anymore, while you teach, the car’s momentum will slow down and eventaully stops completely. Teaching in this context is a ‘distraction’ from what you are meant to be doing, pushing the car. When the car stops, you have to start from the start again, putting in lots of energy and time into getting the car start again to create the inertia and keep the car’s momentum going.
Do not let others distrat you from your self discipline moving towards your outcome. When you are distracted, you will have the ‘opposite of momentum‘, you will be self-sabotaging your outcome, may even forget about your outcome and come full stop.
If they want to learn from you, let them observe and learn while you are focus on working towards your outcome, then they can ask you along the way. This is how you can teach them and you maintain the momentum to speed up to achieve your outcome.
Not everyone wants to achieve; some are content where they are. You need to realise this, else you will end up being distracted from achieving your outcome.
Be crystal clear about your outcome in mind, then be disciplined enough to Outcome-Focus, keep working towards your outcome, Filter out any distractions that is not aligned with your outcome. Work with your momentum and speed up achieving your outcome.
