I tested many, from the NLP 5 steps sale strategy to what I hear from others who share with me how to do sales… I found this works best for me, only 3 key steps, they are:
- CATCH ATTENTION, you want to have eye contact;
- MAKE FRIENDS, the longer you spend time with them, the more they will want to buy from you, as you are a friend.
- ASK, CLOSE SALE if you don’t ask, they will walk away with nothing.
CATCH ATTENTION:
Not everyone wants to buy, some want to buy, it is those we want to buy you want to sell to, which means you are FILTERING OUT who does not want and FIND, FOCUS on those who want to buy, by their EYE CONTACT with you. Those who do not want to buy will NOT want eye contact, only those who are READY to BUY will have EYE CONTACT with you, at least they are receptive to buying. When you have EYE CONTACT, you need to SMILE to make them FEEL good and then ASK, “You want to try and see how it FEELS”?
When they smile back and walk to you, THEY WANT TO BUY! The others do NOT want to buy; you have filtered them away by FOCUSING on the one who looks and smiles back, walks to you.
MAKE FRIEND:
We buy from friends, we support friends when there is a GOOD reason, they will definitely ACT to BUY. PRAISE A LOT, SMILE A LOT, NOD a lot, this makes them happy in agreement, they love you like a friend, though a new and short encounter, they are ready to buy. Ask them, “try and see how it FEELS on you“. If you are selling a physical product. Now, they make them FEEL MORE with your PRAISES and SMILES till they are EXCITED to want to buy it.
ASK, CLOSE SALE:
Most people do not ask; they spend the time explaining the product, the benefit, but NEVER ASK. The friend now says, “Thank you” and walks away. You NEED TO ASK to close the sale, you can say things like: “It FEELS good on you, it wants to GO HOME with you, you ready to take it home”?
They are feeling good. Next, “It is 10 times more selling over there, I am doing this for the food on the table for my kids at home, cash or credit card”? Remember the smile when you are talking to them, they need to FEEL GOOD because a SMILE feels good!
In your mind, all the time, very important, WHY DO YOU WANT THE SALE?
Back then, I was very clear about WHY. MY WIFE and MY SON need the money! This will motivate you to close lots of sales!
DO NOT WAIT for the customers to walk in! Bankruptcy in the making! You want to be PRO-ACTIVE, go out and LOOK for EYE CONTACTS and do the 3 steps to do your sales!
