The cup (the mind)

The cup that is full has nothing new to say; they are repeating the same story of their lives, thinking they are perfect now.

The cup that is empty or filling up has new things to say, as they are discovering through listening to understand, they are perfecting, being better and better.

The FULL CUP:  Ever met anyone who has something to say about anything?  They are always correcting what you said to them, because they are always right and you are always wrong.  They are the full cup who believe and think they are right, the world is wrong, and only they are right.  They are the ones when confronted, will blame others with their excuses in self-defense, “don’t shoot the messenger, I am only the messenger”.  They are always right.  They are full cup, their MIND IS FULL, they believe totally that they are the SOUL, they are here to teach you how to live your life, you are the EGO.

The EMPTY CUP:  Ever met someone who seems to listen to you attentively, soaking up everything you say?  They ask questions to understand, they repeat what you said, and keep refining their understanding with so much focused attention that you fall in love with them.  They are the empty cup; they are constantly learning, like kids in school, and just excited to learn from the teacher.  They are honest and trust that you are honest with them.  They are easy prey to the deceivers, scam them because they trust people easily, because they are ‘learning all the time’.

The FILLING CUP:  Ever met someone who listens selectively?  They know what they want to learn, they will only listen when what you say is of interest; otherwise, they will excuse themselves and keep moving towards a group conversation that is in line with what they want to listen to.  Like a social butterfly.  They know what they want in life, they are filtering out what they don’t need, because time is important, they are very aware of their limited time to achieve what they want in life, hence they select what they want to listen to, not wanting to waste time.  They are the cup that is filling up; they select what to fill their cup with.

These are the 3 groups of people we will meet in our journey of life.

Those who know where they are going, those who do not know but think they know, those who are just learning, unconditional learning before they know what their purpose, their mission in life. Know which you are and just ENJOY knowing which cup you are, and keep enjoying living life being which cup you are.  These varieties allow us to FEEL alive.  Accept each cup and appreciate each one’s roles and be RESPONSIBLE for your journey towards your outcome in enjoyment.
