What does it mean to live purposefully?
It means you have a destination, an outcome in mind, and you are living towards the outcome, your destination.
To do this purposeful living, you need:
- Have an outcome in mind, for example, peace or harmony instead of emotional fights;
- Fearless, be brave, courageous, to let go of the fear within, to be a curious adventurer beyond the comfort zone;
- Solving problem ability, this allows you to venture without fear because you know how to solve unknown challenges along your journey;
When you have these, you can now FOCUS on your outcome, work towards your outcome independently, you no longer need to depend on others, but problem solve towards your destination, the outcome you have in mind clearly, free from self-doubts or hesitation.
If you choose peace, you will have to be actively choosing not to be drawn into the drama of life; you will feel less and lesser because you are more peaceful now. Peace means no more feelings because everything is perfect in your life, you are no longer chasing for things, as you already have all that you need now. You learn to filter out what is not aligned with your destination, peace. For example, you want to drive to Sydney (your peace) from Tasmania (your confusing, conflicting life), you drive towards Sydney, but there are so many things to see, eat along the way. You will stop at a beach and enjoy, and then you will meet someone and get caught up chatting. You really love to be in companionship, you feel good with the person, you decide to stay there and start a life there, somewhere between Tasmania and Sydney. You are no longer living on purpose; you have stopped living your purpose that you started off with.
The question is, “Are you brave enough to step out of your comfort zone and venture beyond, to start and stick to living towards your purposeful life“?
Sounds easy, but it is very challenging as life is filled with many lovely distractions to tempt you to not live towards your purpose.
